Kansas Speedway Wiki Information
Kansas Speedway
is a speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, adjacent to the Village West area. The speedway is a tri-oval with 15 degree banking in the turns. The track held its first race on June 2, 2001, when the Winston West series contested the Kansas 100. The top-level NASCAR Sprint Cup series holds the annual Kansas 400 at the track.

Future Plans

Plans are for a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to be built after the state of Kansas approved plans on September 19, 2008. The hotel/ casino will overlook one of the turns and the track will apply a second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race no later than 2011 [1], also the track plans on adding a road course. [2]
