Kimbel Arena is a 1,039-seat multi-purpose stadium in Conway, South Carolina. It is home to the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers basketball team. They Arena is located inside the Williams Brice PE Center. This is the same Brice for whom the University of South Carolina Gamecock's football Williams-Brice Stadium is named after. The plan is to eventually replace this with the YRT2 Arena, a facility with about 7,000 seats, to be shared by the Chanticleers and a pro hockey team in the ECHL. It was set to be completed in the fall of 2007; however, due to a lack of funding, this project is currently on hold indefinitely.
