Kyle Cease
(born September 19, 1977) is an American actor and comedian.
While still keeping residence in Bothell, Washington, his hometown, he was cast as Bogey Lowenstein in the 1999 movie 10 Things I Hate About You
. Right after the film, he moved to Los Angeles. Two years later he was featured in Not Another Teen Movie
, as the slow clapper. In the same year, he released his first CD, "Wait Your Turn." He has made appearances on The Martin Short Show, One on One, Tuned Up,
VH1's Super Secret Movie Rules,
and in 2005, the movie The Hand Job.
Kyle has released a DVD of his nationwide tour called "One Dimple." The DVD contains a road documentary, commentary and a performance clip of him on Premium Blend. He also acted as a bit player in Comedy Central's soap-opera-spoof series Strip Mall.
Kyle Cease had a Comedy Central Presents special in 2006. He also auditioned for the fourth season of Last Comic Standing
, but was not invited to the second round. He had made various appearances in podcasts such as Geekdrome
and Weezy and the Swish
.
On January 10, 2007, Kyle Cease announced on his official Myspace blog that he would begin shooting a one hour stand-up special for Comedy Central, due to positive response from his Comedy Central Presents.
On March 15, 2007, Cease announced the special would be titled "Weirder, Blacker, Dimpler."
Filming was completed on March 30 in Seattle, Washington at the Moore Theater in downtown Seattle.
Kyle was also one of the contestants in the Comedy Central show, Reality Bites Back
; however, he was eliminated in the premiere episode on July 17, 2008. He was also ranked #1 on 2009's Comedy Central Standup Showdown Finals.
