Successes
In 2000, she won the
Young Concert Artists International Auditions in
New York City which led to her recital debut at
Carnegie Hall. That same year she performed at
London's
Wigmore Hall, and was appointed official harpist to the
Prince of Wales. It was the first time the royal family had accorded such an honour since the reign of
Queen Victoria.
[1] Her youth and dynamic playing style has led her to be described by audiences thus; 'Your... arrangements, enthusiasm and sheer startling talent left us completely awestruck. You have reinvented the harp and allowed it to be an instrument of today'.
In 2004 she played a pink electric harp at the 60th birthday celebrations of composer
Karl Jenkins.
In recognition of her musical achievements, she was awarded an Honorary Fellowship from the
University of Wales in
Aberystwyth in 2006, as well as Honorary Fellowships from the
University of Wales in
Bangor, and the
Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 2005.
She is Visiting Professor at the
Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and the
Royal Academy of Music.

Dafydd Wigley and prominent harpist
