Elephant Keys
(formerly known as The Dodgems) are a four piece Rock and Roll band from Sheffield consisting of Phil Goodwin (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Tommy Goodwin (Piano/Keyboard/Organ/Backing Vocals), Chris Murray (Bass Guitar) and Mike Breeze (Drums).
They should not be confused with The Dodgems, a band from Brighton in the late 1970's

History
Elephant Keys
started life out as The Dodgems in 2002.
The band was signed by
Alan McGee to his poptones label after a bidding war between several labels. Tipped to follow in the footsteps of previous McGee signing
Oasis. Their first major single "It's Alright" was released on
8 August 2005.
The Dodgems played many venues in Sheffield and all over the country. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 they played at the
V Festival as well as touring with Indie Rock band
The Subways after the festival.
The band resigned to NoCarbon / Universal Records with intentions of a single and tour to follow.
Former member Nick O'Malley has gone on to replace Andy Nicholson as bassist for
Arctic Monkeys.
The band released their second single on
July 23,
2007. The song "You're not what you used to be" is accompanied by the B-side "Swings and Roundabouts". This will be in the middle of a tour currently in progress and extending through July. Most of the tour is in support of The Checks.
The band are now due to release "Candlewax" on the 29th October as well with B-Side "Come On".
In 2008, Michael Breeze rejoins the band and replaces Eric (Machine Gun) Miller.
Tommy Goodwin appeared on Channel 4, T4, on the fashion programme 'Frock Me' presented by
Alexa Chung. He won £1000 for designing an outift.
As of March 11th 2009, the band stated on their Myspace that they have changed their name to
Elephant Keys
