| Fernando Arau
began his career at the age of 5, tap dancing with his parents. [1] In his early twenties, he hosted a kids' TV show. In 1991 he starred in Alcanzar una estrella II alongside a young Ricky Martin. In 1994, he moved to Miami, where he eventually became one of the hosts on Despierta América, along with Rafael Jose, Giselle Blondet, Ana Maria Canseco, and news anchor Neida Sandoval. He is the son of Alfonso Arau.

Achievements
In 2006, the National Academy of Arts and Sciences awarded Arau an honorary Spanish Emmy Award. In June 2009, he was awarded the Esperanza Image Award at the eight annual Hispanic Prayer Breakfast and Conference in Washington D.C.. [2] [3]
