History
Previously called 'The Art Of Opposition' until they re-formed with new members, complete new material & a new name (Geometrics).
Formed as Geometrics in November 08 with new members Aidan Ward & Lindsay Banks (formally of 'The Homewreckers Club').
Currently unsigned, the band are extremely popular around their hometown of Hitchin in Hertfordshire, UK. They have also played several gigs around the country including some notable performances such as headlining the Camden Barfly and playing festivals such as LeeFest in
Suffolk.
On the 4th April 2009 Geometrics released their first official single ""Sixth Sense"" available to buy on most download sites. The single has been well received and has earnt them airtime on Huw Stevens & Steve Lamacq - BBC Radio One show, and also making regular appearances with BBC Introducing & XFM.
29th May 2009 Geometrics were invited into the BBC Three Counties Studios to perform 3 live songs and take part in an interview and a regular feature on the show "Band on a Bike".
The band is currently working on new material, and are playing a shed load of festivals over the summer + a UK Tour.
Style
The bands musical style can be described as indie/pop/shoegaze
They state their musical influences to include; Joy Division/The Cure/Fleetwood Mac/David Bowie/Duran Duran/The Strokes/Blondie

Trivia
- Aidan, Matt and Alex have known each other since primary school.
- When asked in a BBC interview to state an interesting fact about themselves they answered:
- *Luke - Was so close to getting a job delivering Avon catalogues
- *Matt - Loves taking his clothes off
- *Aidan - Is obsessed with stomping his feet (LOUDLY) on stage
- *Lindsay - 2 pints of cider & she's on the floor
- *Alex - Plays the violin
