Iwrestledabearonce is an American avant-garde metal band from Shreveport, Louisiana, formed in 2007. Their musical style is considered due of their use of frequent genre changes within songs, including jazz, swing, and electronica, but primarily metalcore influenced. They have released one EP and one full-length album, and have toured with Winds of Plague, The Human Abstract, Greeley Estates, Sea of Treachery, and See You Next Tuesday. They are about to embark on a US Tour with August Burns Red, Bless the Fall, Enter Shikari, and All Shall Perish. Iwrestledabearonce released their debut full-length album It's All Happening July 2, 2009 in the USA and August 31st in European stores. Their music is described as a "spastic blending of genres" [1]. They are known for having melodic, "lounged-out" interludes in the middle of their songs. [2] The band's debut reached #122 on the Billboard 200. [3] They are also scheduled to embark on their first ever venture outside of the US in October 2009. The "2009 Altamont Never Say Die" club tour is sponsored by Imperial Clothing and Jägermeister. The UK and Europe with Architects, Despised Icon, As Blood Runs Black, Horse the Band, Oceano and The Ghost Inside. They will be on a rotating slot with Oceano on the whole tour.
