Laura Gibson
is a Portland-area folk singer and songwriter. She was raised in Coquille, Oregon. [1]
She currently records for the independent U.S. label Hush Records. In 2008, she toured the United States as the opening act for Colin Meloy. She also added vocal harmonies to his Colin Meloy Sings Sam Cooke
EP. [2]
She has worked with many other musicians, including Laura Veirs, Danny Seim, and Rachel Blumberg, a former member of The Decemberists. [3] Gibson has also collaborated with The Portland Cello Project.
She is a graduate of Linfield College
