Miniature Tigers
is an Indie rock band with elements of indie pop based in Phoenix, Arizona. [1] The band is made up of front man Charlie Brand, Rick Schaier on drums and vocals, Algernon Quashie on guitar, keyboards, vocals and Alex Gerber on bass, vocals. [2]
The band is currently signed to Modern Art Records, a label created in a partnership between members of the band Chronic Future and Epic Records. [3]
Miniature Tigers began their first national tour in October 2008, [4] which included playing a set at the 2008 CMJ Music Marathon. [5] Darren Robinson, the guitarist from the band Phantom Planet toured with Miniature Tigers from January to March of 2009 playing lead guitar.
Miniature Tigers toured with Ben Folds in February and will play the 2009 Monolith Festival in September.

In December 2006, Rolling Stone listed Miniature Tigers as "one of the 25 best bands on Myspace." [6] The band has also received favorable attention from Spin magazine, [2] which included Miniature Tigers in its list of "The 9 Hottest New Bands Playing CMJ 2008." [8] Death + Taxes
, a music magazine, awarded the band's Black and White Magic EPs 4 stars, calling the band "terribly endearing." [9]
The music video for Cannibal Queen has been featured on mtvU and MTV2's Subterranean.
