Parabelle
is a rock band that began in 2007 as a side project by Kevin Matisyn, the former lead singer of Evans Blue and Kenneth Nixon of Framing Hanley. The two artists performed acoustic shows together under the name Parabelle. Later, Tim Huskinson (also of Framing Hanley), Ryan Abramowitz, and Miles Stelzig joined to complete the band.
In 2008, Kenneth Nixon left Parabelle. Tim Huskinson left Framing Hanley due to back problems [1] and joined Parabelle full-time. Ryan Abramowitz was replaced by Blaine Porpiglia. [2] The band, no longer a side-project, announced that an album would be released in spring or summer of 2009.
On July 3rd, drummer Blaine Porpiglia posted a message on his myspace page saying that he had decided to split with the band. [3]
Their debut CD was released July 7, 2009. It is a dual-disc album. The first disc is titled "A Summit Borderline," whereas the second is titled "A Drop Oceanic." The artwork for the album was a joint effort by frontman Kevin Matisyn and Julia Royal of Julia Royal's Team Vanity.
