Peter Frankl
(born 1935) is a Hungarian-born British pianist. He mainly performs music from the Classical period (particularly Mozart), the Romantic period and the early Modern period. He has appeared as soloist with world class orchestras and conductors and on many international festivals throughout Europe and America. His performance of the complete solo piano music of Debussy, recorded in the early 1960s, is highly respected.
Frankl formed a long-term collaboration with his compatriot violinist György Pauk and American cellist Ralph Kirshbaum. The BBC commissed Fourteen Little Pictures
by James MacMillan to mark the 25th anniversary of their trio in 1997. [1]
