Phathom
is an independent alternative/punk rock band from La Crescenta, California formed in 2001. Originally called Section 8
, a term used for a discharge from the military for mental insanity, the band changed it's name in December 2005 to Phathom before the release of their first self-titled full length. They have released four EPs and two full lengths since 2001.

Vans Warped Tour 2006 and
Vans Warped Tour 2007. Their song
Succubi
was featured as the intro song to the
Fuse Network show Warped Tour Inside and Out.
The bands artwork for their 2006 self-titled full length was entirely designed by
Jason Cruz, lead singer of the
punk rock band
Strung Out.
The bands video for Moving Slowly has been featured and aired on
Havok TV. The single Moving Slowly has been on rotation on Los Angeles based radio station
KROQ for their
Locals Only hour.
