Sarah Geronimo
(born on July 25, 1988), is a Filipina singer and actress.

Biography
Sarah Asher Tua Geronimo is born to Delfin Geronimo (brother of TV host Adolfo "Ka Gerry" Geronimo), a retired
PLDT employee, and Divina, who used to run a beauty parlor in their house at Sta. Cruz, Manila. Sarah is the third of four children with siblings Jonnah Rizzie, Sunshine Grace, and Ezekiel Gabriel.
Early years
Geronimo's first performance on stage was at a mall show when she was two years of age. Sarah sang "Pasko Na Naman" with Pinky Marquez and Richard Reynoso. She became part of a children's show,
Pen-pen de Sarapen
, from 1992 through 1994,
Ang TV
from 1995 through 1996, and
NEXT
from 1996 through 1997. She was one of the performers during the
1995 visit of
Pope John Paul II.
Star For A Night
, which was hosted by
Regine Velasquez, was the singing contest where she joined on March 1, 2003, at the age of 14. Geronimo emerged as the grand prize winner of the competition with her rendition of the songs "To Love You More" and "To Mother with Love." She won
P1 million and a managerial contract at Viva Artist Agency.

Television career
In 2003 Sarah became a temporary main-stay on GMA'S Noon Time Variety Show SOP
In 2004, Geronimo signed a contract with
ABS-CBN, where she had her first project in acting through starring in a drama series entitled
Sarah, The Teen Princess
.
[2] She also became a mainstay in a musical variety show,
ASAP
.
[3] In 2005, Geronimo sang the theme of a Star Cinema movie,
Can This Be Love
.
[4] She also became part of the fourth season of the weekly teen-oriented program,
SCQ Reload, Kilig Ako

[5] In summer of 2005, Sarah reunited with her fellow champions for a US Tour of
Pinoy Idols: Return Of The Champions
, which was staged in selected cities in the U.S. for a two-month period.

In 2006, she lead the cast of one of ABS-CBN's primetime soap opera,
Bituing Walang Ningning
. Here, she starred as an aspiring singer named Dorina Pineda.

Pangarap Na Bituin
opposite Jericho Rosales, along with
Maja Salvador,
Rica Peralejo and,
Nikki Gil as "The Jewel Sisters".
Sarah Geronimo is also being eyed for the remake of Sineserye Presents:
Kadenang Bulaklak for the role of Jasmine Abolencia
In 2010 she is so busy to do a Pinoy Remake from the Phenomenal Hit series
Meteor Garden to protrayed the role
of the poor Girl "Shancai"

Film career
Last July 30, 2008, her debut movie under
Star Cinema and
Viva Films with Filipino actor
John Lloyd Cruz entitled
A Very Special Love
was released. She also recorded her own version of the song "A Very Special Love" for the movie which was then included in the repackaged edition of
Taking Flight
.
[10] In February 2009, Geronimo appeared in her follow-up movie with John Lloyd Cruz, dubbed
You Changed My Life (A Very Special Love Sequel)
, after the success of the latter. The film earned PHP230 million total theatrical earnings.
Music career
In September 2003, Geronimo released her debut album entitled "
Popstar: A Dream Come True". She also staged her first solo concert at the Music Museum in the same year. The album produced singles such as "
Forever's Not Enough", "
To Love You More" as well as "
Sa Iyo".
[11] In November 2004, Geronimo released her second album entitled
Sweet Sixteen
, with "
How Could You Say You Love Me" as the first single.

Rachelle Ann Go, and
Erik Santos staged the
Night of the Champions
concert at the
Araneta Coliseum, who also went on a tour in US.

Lastikman
of VIVA Films.
[14] Sarah performed her first major solo concert, "The Other Side" at the Araneta Coliseum.
[15] Viva Records released a live DVD album of the filmed tour in Araneta Coliseum named as "The Other Side: Live Album", and achieved platinum.

Her first Hollywood Produced album & third studio album entitled "Becoming" was released in August 2006, and reached Platinum. The album yielded three singles: "I Still Believe In Loving You", "Carry My Love" and "Iingatan Ko Ang Pag-ibig Mo".
[17] Geronimo continued to perform globally as she staged concerts in Taiwan, Canada, Alaska, and Dubai. She also held "The Other Side US Tour" in San Diego, Hanford, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Honolulu, Maui, Washington DC and Atlantic City.
[18] While in the United States in November 18, 2006, she was chosen by
Manny Pacquiao to sing the Philippine national anthem
Lupang Hinirang prior to his match against Mexico's
Erik Morales at the
Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

She staged her second major solo concert on July 14, 2007 at the Araneta Coliseum entitled
Sarah Geronimo In Motion
.
[20] Sarah also concluded Sarah Geronimo In Motion US tour last August-September 2007.
[21] Shortly after staging her second solo major concert, she released her fourth studio album entitled Taking Flight that achieved Platinum. Taking Flight's includes singles like "I'll Be Alright" and "Ikaw".

In early 2008, Sarah once again reunited with Erik Santos, Rachelle Ann Go and Christian Bautista in a Valentine's concert at the Araneta Coliseum, entitled "OL4LUV".

In Motion
DVD, filmed at the Araneta Coliseum, on February 27, 2008. It was eventually certified platinum.
[24] Before Geronimo release her fifth studio album, she released "I'll Be Here" as the fourth and final single of
Taking Flight
. She collaborated with
Backstreet Boys member
Howie Dorough, in the song "I'll Be There" produced by Christian de Walden and it will be included in her upcoming album
Just Me
.
[25] In November 2008, she staged her third major solo concert in Araneta Coliseum entitled, The Next One.

In the mid-2009, Sarah became very in demand. She recorded the theme song of Sunsilk, "Record Breaker." She also released her 3rd single from the album, Just me which is Dahil Minahal Mo Ako. It was a big hit in which it toppled radio stations, online voting and soon dominates the chart on televisions with its music video. August 5, which was the burial of former President
Corazon Aquino, she sang Virna Lisa's "Magkaisa" which is a hit on Youtube and became one of subject being talked when it comes to comparison of singers in the said burial.
Sarah Geronimo also sung the theme song of the movie "In My Life" entitled "Somethimg New In My Life" which stars
John Lloyd Cruz,
Luis Manzano &
Vilma Santos and became the carrier single of Sarah's 2nd Mini Album "In My Life"
In November 7, 2009, she'll return to Araneta Coliseum for her fourth major concert entitled, "Record Breaker"
This year Sarah will release her full-english album entitled
Immortal . At the end of the year Sarah will also release her first Christmas Album produced by
Ryan Cayabyab.
