Slam Dunk Festival Wiki Information
Slam-Dunk Records is an independent record label (UK), founded in Leeds, England in 2007. The label is most notable for popular band You Me At Six. The label evolved, initially, from popular clubnight 'Slam Dunk', a weekly clubnight held at the city's Cockpit music venue, predominantly centered around emo/punk/ska and metal music genres. Slam Dunk Records is also associated with popular music festival 'Slam Dunk Festival', which was established in 2006. Although initially small-scale set up with only a handful of artists, the yearly event now attracts a large number of well-known artists and has slowly established itself as a popular indoor day-long music festival. Slam Dunk Festival is held on the May Bank Holiday of each year, now at University of Leeds student union building, attracting more than 40 bands across six different stages. Notable acts previously having played at the festival include Fall Out Boy, Thursday, You Me At Six, Hundred Reasons, Reel Big Fish and Paramore.
