Stratavarious Wiki Information
Stratavarious
is an album by Ginger Baker, [1] the drummer from Cream, released by Polydor in 1972. [2] Baker had many associations with an eclectic mix of musicians brought together under numerous band titles bearing his surname. [3] Stratavarious
is the only album which was released under the name of "Ginger Baker" without other associated names. The lineup on Stratavarious
includes Bobby Tench, vocalist and guitarist from The Jeff Beck Group, [4] who plays bass under the pseudonym Bobby Gass
[5] and the Nigerian pioneer of Afrobeat, Fela Ransome-Kuti [6] who also played with Ginger Baker on his album Live!
in 1971.
The album was re-issued in 1998 on Polygram in the UK, Atco in USA, and RSO in Japan, [7] under the title of Do What You Like
, along with the two complete Ginger Baker's Air Force albums. [8]
