) is a slang term for the depressive period following the use of MDMA (ecstasy). This term is currently thought to be in use throughout the world where ecstasy is highly used.
Suicide Tuesday
refers to the Tuesday after MDMA use (or, less commonly, methamphetamines), typically on a Friday or Saturday. This is due to depletion of serotonin levels caused by the MDMA high. It is claimed that taking 5-HTP, L-Tryptophan, vitamins, and/or magnesium supplements on the day after use will reduce the depression effect by replenishing serotonin levels [1].
