Texas in July
is an American metalcore band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The band formed in 2007, with members then-ranging in ages from 15 to 17. As of 2009, some members are still attending high school. The band signed with CI Records in 2008 and has released one EP and one full length with the label. The band is exceptionally popular in their hometown, routinely packing Lancaster’s 850+ capacity Chameleon Club, and has shared the stage with a large number of heavy metal bands, such as Every Time I Die, The Devil Wears Prada, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, The Bled, and August Burns Red (with whom were also once on CI Records and share a similar style). EP was released October 7th, 2008, and was produced by Carson Slovak of Century. Their debut album, I Am,
was released via mail order July 2nd, 2009 with a planned regular release for September 19th, 2009.
