The Asteroids Galaxy Tour
is a Danish alternative band consisting of Mette Lindberg and Lars Iversen, but when performing live will extend to feature Miloud Carl Sabri, Sven Meinilid, Mads Brinch Nielsen, and Rasmus Valldorf. [1] Lars Iversen is their primary songwriter, and often uses small samples to create their tracks. [2] Their debut single, "The Sun Ain't Shining No More", was released on September 15, 2008. The band has become known for its song "Around the Bend", which was used in an Apple iPod Touch commercial starting in September 2008, and released as a single in October.
In 2009, Myer, Australia's largest department store used the song "The Golden Age" to launch their 2009 summer range.
Mette Lindberg appeared in an episode of the BBC music quiz show Never Mind the Buzzcocks
as a panellist in November 2008. [3]

Breakthrough
Success first visited the band while
Amy Winehouse was touring in Denmark and asked the band to be her opening act after hearing the band's demo. Eventually their music was heard by
Apple Chairman,
Steve Jobs who personally selected their track "Around The Bend" to be used in an
iPod touch commercial. The band has also recorded an iTunes exclusive Live session EP in
New York featuring "Around The Bend" and "The Sun Ain't Shining No More". The EP also comes with a promotional video of the band.
The Band appeared on Popular LA station KCRW's "Morning Becomes Ecclectic" (including their iTunes-distributed Podcast) on 4/2/09
The band confirmed that the title of their debut album will be 'Fruit'. This will include their songs "The Sun Ain't Shining No More", "Around The Bend", "Lady Jesus", and "Hero", a track which was used to close an episode of the TV show "Gossip Girl". The official date of the album 'Fruit' came out May 09, 2009.
The band is also supporting
Katy Perry on several sold out dates for her summer 2009 European tour.
