Oliver Sabin
, also known as Unicorn Kid
is an electro/chip music composer and musician from Edinburgh.
Sabin principally uses FL Studio to create his distinctive multi-layered sound, but has also incorporated a MicroKORG and LSDJ into the material.
Following his 2008 show at The Arches "Skinslife" party, Sabin has had a number of BBC Radio 1 and XfM appearances such as his live session on the Vic Galloway BBC Radio 1 show . 'Lion Hat' (named after his trademark headgear) was released in early 2009 on Euphonios - a Scottish-based independent label - and picked up favourable reviews and mainstream radio plays. Unicorn Kid's first UK headline Tour took place in 2009 culminating with an appearance at T In The Park on the BBC Introducing stage .
In mid 2009, Sabin was asked by the Pet Shop Boys to remix their single release Did you see me coming?. The Unicorn Kid mix was released on the 12" vinyl version and as part of the digital bundle.
