in Bristow, Virginia, is an outdoor live performance amphitheatre with a 25,000 fan capacity, the largest in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The Pavilion is located in semi-rural Prince William County which is approximately 35 miles west of Washington, DC. Opened in 1995, the first group to perform at Nissan Pavilion was The Village People. Since then, the Pavilion has played host to a wide range of musical acts every summer, including Tina Turner, Radiohead, Coldplay, Celine Dion, Rush, James Taylor, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Nine Inch Nails, Aerosmith, Godsmack, 311, Linkin Park, Poison, Sting, KISS, Ted Nugent, Steely Dan, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, The Who, Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, the Vans Warped Tour and Ozzfest. Since 1995, The Allman Brothers Band, Brooks & Dunn, Jimmy Buffett, and Dave Matthews Band have played annually. Nissan Pavilion also annually holds WMZQfest in May.
Aside from musical acts, high schools from Prince William County and Fauquier County hold their graduation ceremonies at Nissan Pavilion in June.
