Keith Urban, born in New Zealand in 1967, is an Australian country music singer, songwriter and guitarist. Despite his roots, his commercial success is rooted mostly in the United States and Australia. He also began performing regularly on stage at the Northern Suburbs Country Music Club in Caboolture, Australia.

In 1992 he decided to move to Nashville, Tennessee where he became a guitarist for Brooks & Dunn. He made his American solo debut in 1999 with the release of his album titled Keith Urban. It became certified platinum in the US and gave him his first number one single, "But for the Grace of God."

His second solo album under this label, Golden Road, gave way to his breakthrough #1 hit "Somebody Like You" and also earned Keith his first Grammy award. He has since released four more albums and has had numerous other #1 singles, including but not limited to: "Days Go By," "Better Life," and "Sweet Thing." He has had several tours with a variety of touring bands in his career as well. His list of awards is ever-growing and contains several Grammys and notable Billboard awards.
