[6] It was partly pushed out to help bridge the gap between
Pride: The Cold Lover
and
These Magnificent Miles
. The album features 4 songs off of
These Magnificent Miles
.
These Magnificent Miles
(2008-Present)
This is
Red Wanting Blue's
eighth album and "it is undeniably one of the better albums released this year."
[7]
Lyrically, this album has a nice diverse selection of themes. You'll get everything ranging from believing in yourself and not listening to other people's opinions of you in "Finger in the Air" to being completely lost and in love with someone in "You Are My Las Vegas" to living life to the fullest before we all "check out" in "The World is Over".
What's nice (and sometimes rare these days) about These Magnificent Miles
is that while the song topics are different, everyone can relate to them. "Where You Wanna Go" talks about just wanting to get away from the same old boring scenery-a theme that everyone has had to feel at least once in their life. [7]
Ken Davenport is currently working with
Red Wanting Blue
to film a documentary about "one of the top unsigned rock bands in the country" and their travels. The documentary titled,
Never Enough,
which is a title of one of RWB's songs off of
Pride: The Cold Lover
, does not have a completion date yet.

Reviews
"Every now and then you see a band that reminds you just how crappy radio has become. You'll be listening to the singer on stage and you'll wonder why you haven't heard of them before. Each song sounds better than anything played on your favorite station that day, yet you have know idea who they are until you ask the bartender or person next to you. Red Wanting Blue is one of those kinds of bands."
[10]
"Red Wanting Blue's passion and energy delineates a powerful live feel. Scott Terry's powered, full, meaty voice often seems to echo in the background of RWB's delicate melodies. When you can hear a band's live potential on an album, they've definitely achieved an important goal, and RWB does this with ease.”
[11]
"Red Wanting Blue brings nothing but energy and flat out great shows to the stage. Their live performances are all the proof you'll need to become a member of their ever-growing fan base."
[12]
"Do yourself a favor; forget about what’s going on in the corporate boardroom of some major label, where they’re deciding how to market the next pop star. Check out what’s happening on the roads, and in the small clubs of America. And the next time that someone tells you that rock n’ roll is dead, point them toward Columbus, Ohio, and Red Wanting Blue."
