Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival
is a four-day music festival held in early June at near Ozark, Arkansas. The festival has been held annually since 2004.
The 2009 festival was the first held at its present location. From 2004 through 2008, the festival was located at Clinton State Park just outside Lawrence, Kansas. [1] Activities other than music included disc golf, yoga, hiking, and swimming in Clinton Lake.
Since its inception in 2004, the festival has grown dramatically with almost 20,000 tickets sold in 2006. The festival is known for an eclectic mix of music and has featured artists like The Flaming Lips, Wilco, STS9, Neko Case, and Widespread Panic.
